3004 aluminum plate

3004 is an AL-Mn alloy, which is the most widely used rust-proof aluminum. The strength of this alloy is not high (slightly higher than that of industrial pure aluminum) and cannot be strengthened by heat treatment. Therefore, cold working methods are used to improve its mechanical properties: It has high plasticity in the annealed state, good plasticity in semi-cold work hardening, low plasticity in cold work hardening, good corrosion resistance, good weldability and poor machinability. Mainly used for low-load parts that require high plasticity and good weldability, working in liquid or gas media, such as mailboxes, gasoline or lubricating oil conduits, various liquid containers and other small-load parts made by deep drawing: Wire is used to make rivets.

Description of the 5 basic states

F Free machining state is suitable for products without special requirements for work hardening and heat treatment conditions during the forming process, and the mechanical properties of the products in this state are not specified.

O Annealed Condition For processed products that have been fully annealed for minimum strength.

H Work hardened state Applicable to products whose strength is increased by work hardening, and the product may or may not undergo additional heat treatment to reduce the strength after work hardening.

W Solution heat treatment state Treatment state An unstable state, which is only applicable to alloys that are naturally aged at room temperature after solution heat treatment. This state code only indicates that the product is in the natural aging stage.

T heat treatment state (different from F, O, H state) is suitable for products that are stable after heat treatment (or without) work hardening. The T code must be followed by one or more Arabic numerals. The first digit after the T word indicates the basic type of heat treatment (from 1 to 10), and the subsequent digits indicate changes in the details of the heat treatment. Such as 6061-T 62; 5083-H 343 etc.

Surface treatment of 3004 aluminum alloy

Aluminum alloy sheets can be divided into two categories according to surface treatment methods: non-painted products and painted products.

1) Non-painted products

(1) It can be divided into hammered aluminum plate (irregular pattern), embossed plate (regular pattern) and pre-passivated alumina surface treatment plate.

(2) Such products are not painted on the surface of the board, and the appearance requirements of the surface are not high, and the price is also low.

2) Painted products

(1) Classification:

According to the coating process, it can be divided into: sprayed board products and pre-roll coated boards;

According to the type of paint, it can be divided into: polyester, polyurethane, polyamide, modified silicon, epoxy resin, fluorocarbon, etc.

(2) Among the various coatings, the main performance difference is the resistance to sunlight ultraviolet rays. The most commonly used coating on the front is fluorocarbon paint (PVDF), which has strong resistance to ultraviolet rays; polyester can be selected on the back. Or epoxy coating as protective paint. In addition, a removable protective film can be attached to the front.

The use of 3004 aluminum plate

3004 aluminum plate has good formability, weldability and corrosion resistance. It is used for processing parts and components that require good formability, high corrosion resistance and good weldability, or work that requires both these properties and higher strength than 1XXX series alloys, such as kitchenware, food and chemical products handling and Storage devices, tanks and tanks for transporting liquid products, various pressure vessels and pipes processed with thin plates, general utensils, heat sinks, cosmetic plates, photocopier rollers, marine materials
